The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service level designed for intervention activities a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
