The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is alarmed in regards to the large number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position made for intervention ordeals a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the Workplace status sassa to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and raise entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
